Character Line-ups
Using feedback from the earlier sketches and colour study designs, I have created 5 character line-ups to show what other characters could look like in Charlotte's world. From the stories, we could have as many as 14 characters so it is important to explore what the other people in this world could look like.

I bet you know which one I'm going to pick already! When I first looked at them all, I thought that there was no way that I was going to be able to pick one - they're all awesome! Any of them would work, but I keep coming back to the top group. I adore that little 'Charlotte' and I really like the look of the mom (and even though someone once suggested that the characters should look like our family - I MUCH prefer that they don't! That said, I bet Erik will hope that the dad could trim down a bit! ha!) - although I keep coming back to our discussion at school the other day regarding the mom. We're all pretty self-conscious post-mastectomy... I wonder if it would be worth running it by Greer and a few of my bc chicks... Just a thought... I like that these characters are detailed and realistic but not overly so - still lends itself to imagination and a kid-friendly feeling. They're very warm.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the nurses in all of the groups. And I surprised myself at preferring the 'dot' eyes in this situation!
