Image reference

Collected these images from a search online. Some are applicable, others not as much but they suggest visually something important, something specific to the problem and the steps taken towards getting better.

I believe the use of images like these will have real value to kids. The pictures will stimulate new questions, encourage discussion and provide visual interest on the page. As the photographic image, they will support our overall book design and provide a focal point for the illustration.

Let's see if we can use these as reference to secure the real thing - to tap into our network of superb resources to help us understand what women would be seeing, what they could be shown by surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses and the like.

Specifically, we need to know what kind of images we should be using to support the text in each of the books.

  1. Interestingly, when I showed Max these, he was quite intrigued and asked all about them - I think that's a good sign. He also said that he liked the 'blue' one (top middle) the best - although I have to say that's the one I'm least comfortable with - not medical enough - almost too 'sexy'. But I like the idea of including this.
